No — every devotion and all four Bible translations ship inside the app as a local library. The app never needs to connect to the internet to work.
KJV, ASV, WEB, and DRB are all included and stored on your device. You can switch translations on any devotion at any time.
Your current streak resets if a day is missed. Milestone celebrations (at 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 100, and 365 days) trigger again as you build a new streak, so a missed day doesn't erase your reading history — just the active count.
No. Daily Devotions is entirely free with no content gated behind a purchase. The tip jar ($0.99, $2.99, or $4.99, one-time) is purely optional support for the developer, and unlocks a few bonus alternate app icons as a thank-you.
You'll be asked the first time you mark a devotion as read — never at launch. You can turn reminders on or off anytime from the app's Settings screen or your device's Notification settings.
No. Tips are one-time consumable purchases, which Apple does not allow to be restored. If you delete and reinstall the app or move to a new device, bonus icons unlocked by a previous tip won't carry over automatically — tipping again re-unlocks them.
Email me directly and I'll get back to you as soon as I can — usually within a couple of days. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple, but I'm happy to point you the right way.
